Rachel Hollivay (ex Peja 03) agreed terms with Al Sharjah

Al Sharjah (D1) signed 30-year-old American 196cm center Rachel Hollivay (college: Rutgers) for the upcoming season. She last played for Peja 03 in the Kosovan Superliga. In 7 games, she averaged 13.9ppg, 9.9rpg, and 1.3apg last season, helping them reach the semifinals. Hollivay also played for The Capital in the Saudi Arabian league, where she averaged 13.9ppg, 9.9rpg, and 1.3apg in 7 games.
In 2016, she was selected by the Atlanta Dream (WNBA) in the second round (13th overall) of the draft.
She graduated from Rutgers University and it'll be her ninth season in pro basketball.
Hollivay is a very experienced player. She has traveled extensively during her pro career, playing in nineteen different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America). Hollivay has played professionally in Chile (Gimnastico), China (Liaoning Hengye), France (Villeneuve and Nantes), Greece (PAOK Thessaloniki), Hungary (UNI Gyor), Israel (Maccabi Haifa), Jordan (Dunes Club), Mexico (Abejas), Montenegro (Buducnost), Saudi Arabia, Spain (Gran Canaria), Turkey (Besiktas and Rize), Ukraine (Prometey), WNBA (LA Sparks), South Korea (Blue Minx), GWBA (Flint Lady Monarchs), Ecuador (Leones), and WBDA (Atlanta M.).
She won the GWBA Regular Season award in 2023 among many others. In 2022, she was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Honorable Mention team.
